Marion Barry was a no- show at the Ward 8 Democrats candidate forum yesterday (color me surprised - NOT). The Ward 8 Democrats were taking votes from the community (in this case mostly allegdly uncompensated Marion Barry supporters) to determine who would get their endorsement.While Marion Barry was a no show his supporter were out in full force and in their green and white "Marion Barry" t-shirts.
At least one Marion Barry supporter took the MB slogan "fight for the people" literally. Peeling of her green and white t-shirt she tried to physically fight an 80+ year old man unable to stand with a baby strapped to his chest who was campaigning for Sandra Seegars. Not sure what the gentleman did to justify her anger but quoting the Barry supporter "I don't give a fuck that he is old I will knock that old mutherfucker right out! I don't give a fuck I will fuck him up!!!" Fighting Franny had to be restrained and led off down the block by other Marion Barry supporters.
Marion Barry supporters keeping it "real" for the people... real ghetto that is.
